Instructions
Place all the ingredients except dates in a blender.
Process until smooth.
Now, try the smoothie to see if you like the taste.
If needed, add in a few pitted dates and blend again.
Place in a smoothie glass, drink and enjoy!
Recipe #9 Refreshing Barley Grass Smoothie
While not everyone enjoys drinking pure barley grass, itâs an amazing addition to a smoothie that is made up of delicious ingredients. Oh Marta, but why use green powders? Isnât it better to use fresh greens?
I always say- whenever possible, go for fresh. No need to use any powders if your kitchen is full of fresh greens and other produce ready to get blended. However, letâs face it. Some days you may find yourself pressed for time. Or you may be lacking some ingredients. That is why itâs always good to have some green powders, just in case. This smoothie uses barley grass powder. You could also use moringa powder, or any other green powder blend. I have a short overview of different powders on my blog, you can look it up for extra reference:

Serves: 1-2
Ingredients
1 to 2 teaspoons of barley grass powder
½ cup of frozen raspberries
½ cup frozen blueberries
1 lime, peeled
Handful of cilantro leaves, washed
Handful of mint leaves, washed
1 ½ cups of almond milk
